The pelvic floor consists of muscles, ligaments, tissues, and nerves that you really don't usually think about but you actually really need. Optimal pelvic floor function involves appropriate muscular contraction AND relaxation in a coordinated fashion that meets the demands of the involved task. Come learn how to empower your pelvic floor by... - learning how to connect the 3 diaphragms for better breathing, core activation, & spinal stabilization - reviewing the anatomy of the pelvic floor and it's relationship to bowel, bladder, gut, and sexual function. - understanding the signs of pelvic health dysfunction & potential resources to consider -discovering techniques to integrate the core in various positions to foster both proper contraction and relaxation -improving your awareness of your own pelvic floor function which can decrease the risk of incontinence, pelvic/hip/back/pain and improve sexual function
